THE Whole House Committee has rejected Tongatapu 5 Private Bill for the Prime Minister to be elected by the people.
“THE proposed amendment to Clause 50A of the Constitution of Tonga is to enable voters to elect the Prime Minister,” according to Tongatapu 5 MP.
TONGATAPU 2 MP today thanks the members of the Legislative Assembly for the special programme in Parliament to greet the Ma’a Tonga last Thursday.
"PARLIAMENT, Cabinet and the people of Tonga are united to support the Mate Ma’a Tonga in their preparation for Rugby League World Cup in London next month,” says Lord Speaker of the Legislation Assembly.
THE Legislative Assembly will be hosting a luncheon programme tomorrow to warmly welcome the Mate Ma’a Tonga rugby league team upon arriving in the kingdom.
